- Adaptive Signal Control
Let's take a look at the ways we can deliver your city to a zero red-light solution.
Traffic Surveys
AUTOMATED TRAFFIC MONITORING SOLUTIONS
How bad was traffic in your city on Friday at 5:12PM? Not quite sure? Your'e not alone.... Signali's traffic monitoring solutions can provide you with the critical insights you need to manage your city’s traffic. Our tools automate this data collection without requiring major upheaval of your roads. Data can be accessed in real-time, or complied into historical data-sets. This provides your transportation department with robust data that can be used to substitute the critical investments your city needs.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
1. Access Camera Feeds
Detecting objects is a core task in our system. So just how does the Signali system do this? One of our solutions makes use of computer-vision. We can leverage existing camera's within your cities infrastructure. Alternatively, we can mount our own cameras at strategic locations. These are reliable, COTS devices that minimize the installation cost burden to the lowest possible levels.

2. Computer Vision Software
The camera feeds are routed into our software analysis tool-kit. This automated solution performs frame-by-frame analysis to detect objects as they move through the field of vision. Our software process this data to positively identify a new object and it's associated behavior. This is one of several sensors that are combined into holistic map of all activity at a given intersection.

Traffic Optimization Solutions
SOFTWARE-BASED OPTIMIZATION TOOLS
Signali's traffic optimization tools allow city planners to evaluate existing roads under a myriad of conditions to ensure the infrastructure is best meeting the needs of the local region. Our software makes it seamless to simulate an existing region in our software environment and glean valuable insights into the efficiency of the road network. This tool can even recommend signal timing updates to align the traffic control patterns with the real-time demands of vehicular flows. In doing so, we can help reduce congestion and promote the economic health of the community at the lowest possible return on investment.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
3. Simulate traffic usage
Within this digital environment we can simulate actual cars as well as the behavior of signaled intersection. Traffic flows can be modeled under a wide array of conditions to comprehensively evaluate infrastructure performance. Real-time data can be imported from direct or indirect sources to assess performance using actual data from your city. |
4. Generate insights
Use the simulation runs to determine how optimum your city's roads are being managed. Our software can run hundreds of thousands of simulations of various perturbations to suggest system improvements. This allows for congestion reductions without any capital investments into existing hardware and ensures the highest possible return on investment for your community. |
Adaptive Signal Control
Ready to take your city's traffic management technology to the next level? Adaptive Signal Control is the product for you. Signali's Adaptive Signal Control suite provides an integrated solution to traffic management operators that converts existing traffic signals into a cohesive network of intelligent intersections capable of adapting their behavior based on actual traffic patterns. This promises a significant reduction in traffic congestion in major metropolitan areas.
The system is comprised of three primary elements:
The system is comprised of three primary elements:
- A sensor suite to detect vehicles and pedestrians that are in the vicinity of the intersection.
- A wireless package that can communicate with adjacent intersections to share data.
- A controller and algorithms that processes those inputs to determine the optimum sequence of changing the lights.
